**** (four stars) Lucas Roy Lehman’s acoustic musical R U Prime? manages to be a fun, toe-tapping experience that would be perfect for Broadway…”
“The highs and lows of sex, drugs and rock & roll—though at times clichéd—make for electric scenes that are complemented by hypnotic music, well performed by the talented, rock-inclined cast.—, "Time Out NY

“If you haven't hitched your wagon to Festival 56 yet, you are missing out. This New York repertory theater company is offering our community some of the best theater it has ever seen. If you went to Chicago, St. Louis or New York, you would find no production better staged.
”…Check the calendar. This is a must see.”

Tess Gill – August 11, 2006
“There's a lot going on in this show. Many times all ten actors are on stage at once. I commend the director (Maura Kelley) for capably handling everyone in such a small space. The Earth scene, taking place in the back of a catering hall, is particularly impressive with various choreographed mishaps."

“The ensuing situations result in numerous belly laughs from the audience, both young and old alike. Although much of the humor is physical (one of the funniest instances is an angry Paul chopping vegetables), a great deal of ironic dialogue contributes to the overall hilarity”.

“Playwright/director Maura Kelley has created an amusing, instructive show. There are also a few lines thrown in for the older members of the audience, including a reference to creationism (thus why they can't be sure how old Earth is) and calling Pluto a "little person planet" rather than a "dwarf planet."
“… So thank you, Earth's Vacation, for helping me brush up on my astronomy and for instructing a new generation on how to save our planet.”

“…During an impromptu lip-sync[Actually staged] in the limousine, the entire theatre filled with laughter. The humor dies down when Alli Loeffert (steps out of the car and refuses to give up her values for Hollywood, despite the harsh realities.” |
